and prices in this catalogue are subject to change without notice.
Terms and conditions
All business is conducted strictly on the basis of the Terms and Conditions of Business
set out on this web site. The points below are operational guidelines.
After hours service
Rental Co-ordinators are on duty after hours in Auckland
and can be reached on mobile phone (0274) 423 007
During business hours please call Auckland +64 +9 + 360 8770
Call out fees may be charged for service outside business hours.
Pickup and return times
Our rental day is from midnight to midnight, but in practice we are as flexible about
pickup and return as circumstances permit. However, you must make definite arrangements
with us in advance.
Confirmation and cancellation
We accept "pencil bookings" or "holds" and we will give you
24 hours to confirm or release if we have other commitments we need to make. Once the booking is confirmed a cancellation fee may apply but
we only charge cancellation fees where we have been disadvantaged.
Weather holds and travel days
Rental charges are based on time out, not time used. This means the normal rules of
cancellation/confirmation apply to pre-lights, weather holds, and travel time.
Weekly hires
The weekly price applies after the equivalent number of days has been reached and where
the equipment is needed continuously. Equipment must not be placed in storage between
shoots but returned to us unless otherwise arranged in advance.
Hiring individuals items
Many individual items are used in making up complete kits so some listed items may not
be hireable by themselves. This is so that we can offer the best range of equipment to
those who are renting whole kits.
Your responsibilities at pick up
We use a very thorough checking system, but at pickup time it is your responsibility to
check that the equipment is complete and functioning correctly. If there is anything you
are not happy with it is important to draw it to our attention at that time.
Delivery and freight
We will deliver or freight equipment to you but to reduce the chance of
misunderstandings we insist that camera kits are picked up in person or checked by you
prior to dispatch. Please return equipment to the office from which it was picked up. If
we relocate items at your request, freight charges may apply and you'll be advised at the
time of booking if this is the case.
Equipment use
Using equipment only for the purpose for which it has been designed will help protect
you from incurring costs and inconvenience that may result from damage. If necessary you
should check with us that the equipment is appropriate for your intended use.
Persons responsible for the equipment
For your protection it is important that the equipment is always in the direct care of
a competent professional person. If something goes wrong reach for the telephone - not the
screwdriver! In other words, call us - don't attempt a repair even if you are qualified to
do so. By attempting an unauthorised repair or technical adjustment you will make yourself
liable for any problem with that equipment.
Impact meters
Some of the equipment has impact meters attached. If they are set off or missing you
incur an automatic minimum charge of 4 hours labour for a strip and service check.
Insurance
You should arrange adequate insurance to cover liability that could result from the
hire and provide appropriate documentation to us showing this has been done.
At your request and our discretion we may agree to provide Damage Waiver for ordinary non hazardous short hires within New Zealand. Damage Waiver - if provided - does not cover all eventualities. See terms and conditions of business and/or ask your client contact for details. Where provided charges are:
Ordinary equipment:
Premium additional 10% of undiscounted hire fee.
Excesses (payable by hirer):
